In association with Concerts SA, Jozi Unsigned are pleased to be kicking off the 1st Soweto Art & Craft Fair of 2017, with the emotive heartfelt music of Majola.
Born Khanyisa Buti; Majola claimed his place on the South African music scene, with the release of his 2014 debut album “Boet/Sissy”; in which he takes listeners on his personal life journey. Not only did he lay his soul bare on the album, but he gallantly released it independently too. His is an important voice in the arts, an instrumental voice that settles in the hearts of his ever growing base of adorning fans.
Majola’s performance at the Soweto Arts & Craft Fair is part of the Concerts SA Venue Circuit which aims to foster love and support for live music in communities, as well as anchor small and medium sized live music venues in urban and rural Gauteng, Kwa-Zulu Natal, and the Western Cape.
The Soweto Art & Craft Fair takes place at the world class Soweto Theatre in Jabulani, and is one of the theatre’s flagship events. Formed 4 years ago by a team of enterprising twenty-somethings, the Fair has blossomed into a staple event which brings together a variety of people from all walks of life, who come experience and appreciate the array of locally-made arts and crafts, that are the heart and soul of this innovative initiative.
